Purchasing Process Updates Underway

Changes coming to how we order supplies and equipment

Alicia and Ashley are beginning the process of updating our agency’s purchasing procedures to better align with state guidelines. As part of this effort, office supplies and equipment will no longer be purchased through Amazon—unless there is a written exemption.

To request an exemption, staff must provide a clear justification explaining why the item is needed and why it cannot be purchased elsewhere. This exemption must be approved by your supervisor and shared with Alicia and/or Ashley before any purchase is made.

Moving forward:

  • Office supplies will be purchased through Office Depot
  • Furniture will be ordered through the state’s contract with Correctional Industries

More information will be shared as this process evolves, but please plan accordingly and keep these new purchasing channels in mind.
