The House and Senate each released proposed operating budgets last weekend. These budgets join the Governor’s proposed budget, creating three distinct and competing plans for funding our state’s government including the Conservation Commission. There are significant differences between these plans which are summarized below.

The supplemental budget will affect fiscal year 2027 and has implications that carry forward for future biennia. We've been actively monitoring the state's revenue forecasts and were not surprised by the proposal we saw today.

Many of you engage in interagency committees or workgroups that may result in a request for your review, or you manage programs that are aligned with a respective request.
