All-Staff

ADMIN

  • Alicia: Reminder for WACD nominations next Friday.
  • Kaisha: SCC meeting materials sent out for proofread; materials due by Sept 6th.

FINANCE

  • Kate U: Working on vouchers, all June vouchers have been completed.
  • Courtney: Friday close out, FY25 grants set up, district allocations.
  • Alec: Out of the office Friday-Monday; filing done, completed vouchers for July.

COMMS (Paige& Jodi)

  • Quick overview on intranet, sending out invites on Friday
  • Log in to team, set up with your own password.
  • Login/out button on the upper right corner.
  • Protected pages for "Commissioners", “Leadership” and “Supervisors”
  • Staff calendar on front page or you can subscribe (only internal).
  • Reading list – Send along an article or news announcement if you find one.
  • Staff directory page has been updated with a search feature
  • Out of the office Aug 28 - Sept 9.
  • Brief overview of riparian focus groups and update on riparian communications campaign

IT

  • Thomas is out of the office today

POLICY

  • Karla: Finishing project, out of the office Thurs-Monday.
  • Kate: Working with Climate Resiliency Committee, Bonneville Foundation, new grant program.
  • Summit held last week, Lynda Lyshall at Snohomish CD to take leadership role.
  • Compliment resource/capacity at CDs.
  • ECY rolling out different definition of buffer requirements (small at 65 feet), closer to one another on minimums.
  • Connect with Climate Resiliency Committee connecting with SCC Communications Department to discuss strategy.

DISTRICT OPERATIONS (Shana)

  • Reflecting on last election and appointment cycles.
  • Training for CDs.
  • Preparing for SCC meeting.
  • Check-in status of funded projects, more to come on that for program managers and regional managers.
  • Hiring SE Manager, please circulate with your networks.
  • Regional Team Meeting guests are welcome to join at 9:00 am.
  • Program Managers: Would it be helpful to have a program meeting for leads? Please reach out to Shana to let her know your interest.

CD Round Table:

  • Shout-out for round table topics for the Sept 12th round table with the CDs. RMs are thin on the ground that day, so looking for a moderator and note taker for the round table. Topics or volunteers, please get in touch. Thank you!

PROGRAMS

OFP (Paul)

  • Rank list for ACES list, 5 applications, RCO requested $150 million, $13.5 million to Farmland, $8 million rollover, legislature 3/5 projects fully funded. Hope for enthusiasm in RCO funding.

Science Hub (Levi)

  • Spirit of cooperation at Climate Resiliency Summit, exciting to see where that goes.
  • Synthesis of Science Hub with buffer issues, and structuring incentives.
  • Gonzaga connecting to do applied science work (EPA grant)
  • Exploring how to operationalize, develop more capacity

CREP (Brian)

  • Audit continues across the state, supporting SE heavily.
  • Information to CDs and landowners to support decisions.
  • Less acres than anticipated, out of the office most of Sept in the field.
  • If any RMs want to join, I can send a schedule so you can see where I'll be:
  • CL2 grant numbers to move forward.
  • VSP pilot watershed for 10-year review.
  • CPDS going to pure login through Safe System starting on August 28th. SAW accounts will be needed. Reach out to Brian Cochrane if you need assistance with your account.

Sustainable Farms and Fields (Karen)

  • 72 applications, funded project list finalized.
  • Reporting back to applicants, quality is up in applications.
  • Applicants would benefit from feedback.
  • Excited for possibility of data system, application review system.

RPPP (B'Elanna)

  • Was supposed to be in jury duty, making edits to decision packages.

Community Wildfire and Forest Health (Jenny)

  • Getting to know individual districts, travel to districts next month.
  • Connecting with forestry workgroups.
  • Working to build connections, gauge goals/grant opportunities/concerns.

Irrigation Efficiencies (Jon)

  • Working with Lori for job description for technical coordinator in water resources.
  • Admin work.
  • Off next week, not reachable.

Disaster Assistance Program (Bill)

  • Working on Big Creek Fire near Bickleton, funding recently activated.
