Team SCC,

The holiday season is in the rearview mirror, and we are hard at work supporting many vital activities like legislative session, public records responses, conservation district elections, and program process improvement, to name just a few. Even though we may be small in staff size, itis impressive how much we are able to accomplish.  

I wanted to remind you of some key items of our collective focus.

1. Crucial Conversations training- everyone is required to complete this training by the end of January. We will spend one of our bi-weekly virtual staff meetings discussing this training, and how it can be used to foster a respectful workplace.
2. We have many ambitious goals this year that we shared at our December SCC Connects meeting. We will all need to support these in various ways and will continue to have conversations about how we approach these, and measure outcomes. As you will recall, we have ‘bucketed’ our work in the following categories:
   
    
   • Organizational development
    
   • Budget development
    
   • Program process improvement
    
   • Technology transformation
    
   • Fiscal policy evolution
    
   • Communications strategy
    
   • Commission  management
