Last month, SCC staff from across the state came together for an in-person event, SCC Connects. The day was a much-needed opportunity for the team to reconnect, engage, and look forward collectively.

The meeting started strong with an icebreaker activity (Name Five, High Five), then moved into a StrengthsFinder training session to better understand our coworkers' strengths and learn how to collaborate with them effectively. After a tasty lunch buffet catered by Chipotle, the team dove into an afternoon of presentations on how the agency is working to improve the way it does business and on future visioning.  

The day concluded with a ceremony to recognize employees who reached milestone service marks with SCC this year, a White Elephant holiday gift exchange, and a sweet baby shower celebration for Toyo, who will be welcoming a baby boy with her husband in April.

It was wonderful to see (nearly) everyone in person, and we look forward to the next SCC Connects event!
