Last week, our Lacey team hosted a memorable Halloween-themed potluck that brought out some fantastic costumes and food. The highlight of the costumes included Sarah W. dressed as NRCS Code 616—a clever nod to our work—and others who showed up as a Mariners player, a quirky Gen Xer, the Grinch, and a Star Trek character, each adding their own unique flair to the gathering.

But it wasn’t just about the costumes—the food was equally creative! There were classic potluck treats like little smokies and pumpkin bread, along with a sweet twist: strawberries decorated to look like ghosts!
Many thanks to everyone who helped make the event happen and who participated in the fun event!
FYI - NRCS Code 616 is a designation used by the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to refer to a specific type of conservation practice called a Watering Facility. This practice involves installing a structure or device to provide water for livestock or wildlife, often in areas where natural water sources are insufficient or need to be protected from overuse.
The main goals of Code 616 are to help manage water resources sustainably, support animal health, and reduce erosion or water pollution caused by animals congregating near natural water sources. By establishing controlled watering points, landowners can help preserve riparian zones and improve overall land management.
